Tour Operator Software Planning Tours Is Easy

Tour operator software planning tours is easy

We all love holidaying with friends and family and planning vacations is something none of us like to do! What if you could leave the planning to someone else and get access to the best deals? This is all possible with tour operator software. Such travel software is geared to help you get the most competitive prices, best bargain travel deals and hotel reservations you could dream of!

How does it work?

Travel agency software is meant to help you plan your travels and vacations. With such state of the art tour operator software you get to reserve hotel rooms at the most competitive prices, get access to the best bargain deals and get to stay in your favorite destinations! That is not all, with travel software you also get to know about all the special offers, complimentary schemes and discounts being offered by hotels and accommodations. In this manner, you not only save millions of dollars but also leverage all the benefits offered by such schemes.

Ease of use

One of the most important benefits of such tour operator software is that it allows novices to get the benefits of such systems easily. Installation of such travel software is extremely easy and once you have the software on your desktop all you have to do is start using it! If you happen to have any doubts, there are separate help sections, which are very user-friendly and easy to follow. Otherwise, you can always contact the support staff of the tour operator software company. In this manner, you can clarify all your doubts and become a pro at using such software.

Knowing the difference

Probably one of the most useful advantages of tour operator software is that it allows you to compare subtle differences between deals in software. For instance, while most people tend to go by price alone, tour operator software will help you compare travel deals based on other features as well. For example, apart from price, aspects such as features, amenities, discounts, special deals etc. will all be provided in such travel software. The result is that users of such travel agency software can make more informed decisions. Instead of comparing based on price alone, which can be misleading, you can compare between differences in service levels, amenities and much more. Often, you will find that if a travel deal is low in price it will most likely be short of certain services. By comparing the differences, you will be in a better position to understand the shortcomings of different packages. While one deal maybe cheaper, you may end up getting many more services from a package, which is higher in price. Such an array of services will obviously compensate for the higher price. This is where tour operator software can be so beneficial for you.

Today, people all over the world use travel management software to plan vacations beforehand, get the best bargain travel deals online and get access to special benefits. If you want to reserve your accommodations, plan your travel itinerary and get competitive rates on travel, in advance, then tour operator software is the best option for you!

Titleist Pro V1: Still Golf’s Top Ball

It’s a little hard to believe, but it’s already been nearly nine years since the Titleist Pro V1® golf ball made its official PGA Tour debut  at the 2000 Invensys Classic in Las Vegas.

The exact date was October 11, 2000, and it was the first week the new Titleist golf ball was available to Tour pros. As if on cue, longtime Titleist Tour pro Billy Andrade went on to win the tournament playing the Pro V1.

Titleist’s top-of-the-line golf ball franchise—both the Pro V1 and Pro V1x™—has been going strong ever since.

For example, more than 43 percent of the money in 2006 on-course golf ball sales was spent on these Titleist models.  Titleist has held its position as the best-selling ball since March 2001.

What’s New in 2009?

As a longtime best-seller, Titleist has not rested on its laurels. Each year the company has sought to make improvements to its Titleist golf ball franchise, and 2009 is no different. Following is a look at the newest versions of the highly popular Titleist models.

Titleist Pro V1

The Titleist Pro V1x™ has a three-piece multi-layer construction that’s designed to increase distance and improve cover durability and performance. According to Titleist, players will hit the new model farther—especially with the driver—and the ball will also take more of a beating.

It’s also billed as a ball that will help players score better, which makes perfect sense if it improves one’s game from tee to green. But, of course, golfers also must putt well to shoot lower scores.

Titleist Pro V1x

The Titleist Pro V1x™ has a four-piece dual core construction that’s designed to decrease spin and increase distance. This ball is also longer than its predecessor, according to Titleist, and more durable, too. The scoring performance is marked “similar” as compared to the previous version.

Everyone wants distance, and both Titleist models are the best ball choice for most amateur golfers, says Titleist, since they offer the combination of distance and short-game scoring performance.

Based on strong sales figures year after year, Titleist has a solid case. And, in general, the reviews are also pretty favorable.

Dave Koster, a reviewer at TheSandTrap.com, said he’s been playing Titleist golf balls since the latter days of the Balata and first generation of Professionals.

Koster called himself “a loyal customer” who has been tempted once or twice to switch to other manufacturers but not made the jump. He said the newest update to the 2009 Titleist Pro V1 will keep his business for the foreseeable future.

“The only switch I can really conceive of making at this point would be from the Pro V1x to the Pro V1,” Koster wrote.

Of course, despite their overwhelming popularity, not everyone is a diehard fan of these Titleist golf ball models. A sampling of other comments around the Web indicated some were not as impressed by Titleist’s performance claims and others balked at the price.

ProV1 & ProV1x- Preferred by Tour Players

These Titleist models are the most used golf balls on all the world’s major golf tours, including the PGA Tour, European Tour, Japanese Tour, LPGA Tour, Asian Tour and Nationwide Tour.

Following are just some of the world’s premier golfers who tee up with these Titleist golf balls:

Angel Cabrera

Chad Campbell

Ross Fisher

Padraig Harrington

J.B. Holmes

Zach Johnson

Robert Karlsson

Davis Love III

Hunter Mahan

Rory McIlroy

Geoff Ogilvy

Kenny Perry

Ian Poulter

Adam Scott
Steve Stricker

David Toms

Camilo Villegas

Mike Weir

Lee Westwood

So far in 2009, Titleist has racked up 76 worldwide golf ball wins.

A Peek at the 2009 Golf Digest Hot List

Whether you’re a golf equipment fanatic or just a casual observer of the latest offerings and trends in golf clubs and accessories, the 2009 Golf Digest Hot List is a golf equipment smorgasbord. From drivers, fairway woods and hybrids, to irons, wedges and putters—oh, and bags and balls, too—the equipment gurus at Golf Digest break it down in their popular annual equipment ranking.

The Process

If you’re wondering how golf equipment experts rate, for example, Callaway drivers or TaylorMade irons, think Excel spreadsheets with thousands of data points, hundreds of pages of technical data from golf equipment manufacturers, scientists, a four-part judging criteria, and a two-week visit to a San Jose, California, resort for field testing.

The process is, in a word, exhaustive. Golf Digest evaluated the “universe” of golf clubs—471 entries, to be exact—and judged them across four weighted criteria: 1) performance (40%), 2) innovation (30%), 3) look/sound/feel (20%), and 4) demand (10%).

After all the facts and data were collected, the judges engaged in nine days of meetings that included 800 debates to arrive at the 116-club Hot List. Along the way, they ate a lot of take-out food.

Following is a peek at this year’s list.

Drivers

Golf Digest breaks down the golf drivers category into two parts: drivers over $350 and drivers under $350. Then it splits the two categories into gold and silver winners.

Three of the gold winners in the over $350 category are the Callaway FT-9, PING Rapture V2 and the TaylorMade r7 Limited.

No one is better than Callaway at using multiple materials, said the judges about the FT-9. Players like the look, balance and carry of the PING Rapture V2, which has a similar look to the PING G10. The TaylorMade r7 Limited has movable weights and features an Ozik shaft. Some said it produces the best feel of any club on the market.

Gold winners in the under $350 category included Adams Speedline, Callaway Big Bertha Diablo, PING G10 and TaylorMade Burner.

Irons

Irons were broken into three categories that correspond with playing ability and interests: game improvement, super game improvement and players irons.

Gold winners in the game-improvement category included Callaway X-22, PING G10 and TaylorMade Burner. One player said he could hit the Callaway X-22 irons blindfolded. Sign me up, he said. Callaway X-22 led in the Demand category, which is an assessment of reputation, interest, intrigue and excitement. The PING G10 is a long-time category leader, and the TaylorMade Burner irons really shined, leading in three of the four judging categories: performance, innovation and look/sound/feel.

TaylorMade also had a gold winner in the super game improvement category: the Burner Plus, which features an oversized clubhead and hefty offset to help get the golf ball in the air.

In the players irons category, Titleist AP2 rose to the top, along with TaylorMade Tour Preferred, Callaway X-22 Tour, Callaway X-Forged and PING S57 models, four among the total of six gold winners.

Putters

Arguably, there’s no golf club more important than the putter. Golf Digest took a close look at two main categories: blade putters and mallet putters.

Gold winners in the blade putter category over $200 included the Odyssey Black Series I #6, TaylorMade Daytona TP-KIA MA and Titleist Cameron Studio Select, which led in three of four criteria: performance, look/sound/feel and demand.

In the blade putter category under $200, top picks were the Odyssey White Hot Tour 1, two PING Anser models and the TaylorMade Daytona.

Gold winners in the mallet putter category included the Odyssey Black Series I 2-Ball, PING iWi Craz-E and TaylorMade Itsy Bitsy Spider. And leading mid-mallet putters were Odyssey, Titleist Cameron and MacGregor models.

Bags

Hot List judges took a look at lightweight carry bags and “do it all” cart bags, selecting their 21 favorites. Leading the list of gold and silver winners were models from Callaway, PING, TaylorMade, Titleist, Bag Boy, Nike, Ogio, Sun Mountain, Wilson and Izzo.

What Tour Pros Play

What do the top tour professionals play? Following is just a sampling.

Callaway: Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els, Annika Sorenstam

TaylorMade: Kenny Perry, Sergio Garcia, Paula Creamer

PING: Angel Cabrera, Lorena Ochoa, Hunter Mahan

Titleist: Steve Stricker, Zach Johnson, Adam Scott

Harold Swash, now aged 75 years old has been a golf putting coach for 40 years.  He is also the man behind the Brand of Yes Golf.  His Yes Putters have been used far and wide by Tour Professionals and club amateurs alike.  His C Groove designed putter, training aids and wedges all come designed from his many years of experience in the game.

The background behind the technology of C Groove Yes Putters is that Harold worked out from many years of training and studying how the ball rolls when hit, that when putting, the ball skids first then rolls.  He realised if he could reduce skid and increase roll then the putt would be truer, and would continue on a straighter path, hopefully towards the pin.  His concentric circles were proven to do just the job when tested against other leading brands such as Ping, Taylor Made and Odyssey.

He has coached many top Golf Professionals including; Padraig Harrington, David Howell, Thomas Levet, Ian Woosnam, Darren Clarke, Robert Jan Derkson, Nick Faldo and Constantino Rocca to mention but a few.  Harold doesn’t just cater for the golfing stars, he also teaches at his Putting School of Excellence in Bristol, where you can enrol in One-To-One tuition or join a Putting Clinic group session.  His Yes putters are readily available to try but be warned, there are many styles to choose from.  All Yes putters are named after Ladies.  It no doubt started off as his closest family but now there are so many one can only assume he now names the Yes Putters after friends, colleagues and possibly even celebrities.

Top Five Yes Putters

  1. Callie
  2. Tracy
  3. Marilyn
  4. Victoria II
  5. Tiffany

Yes Putters come in blade, mallet and also some with unconventional shaped heads, with 3 different lengths available and in right or left handed options.  Some of the Yes putter styles come in a pink ladies option. And some also come in a “belly putter” length which is popular with some golfers on and off the tour.

There is a question that is in the minds of most people who play golf and also enjoy watching it even if they do not play it themselves; “Why is Tiger Woods so good at golf? How come he is so consistent? In what way is he different that makes him stand out from the crowd?” There are these and other questions. It is the considered opinion of some that it is the power of his drives, others feel that it is his end game and yet others say that it is his bullish strength and for some others it is the Tiger’s swing.

The beauty of the situation is that all of them may be right, yet all of them may be wrong also. It all depends on the individual and the kind of golfer that he personally is that is going to mould his opinion. Actually all of us know the exact reason for Tiger’s excellence in golf; it is just that we are not prepared to accept the simple fact the Tiger has the best, near perfect and proper golf swing.

The reason that it is the best is that Tiger has the natural ability to use his nimbleness, his litheness and his strength to execute his swings in one fluid motion and create a memorable line up of successes. Now that we know the reason for Tiger Woods’ success, let us analyse his swing and break it down into it component parts. On analysis, Woods’ swing can be seen to contain four key elements:

1. The main advantage that Tiger Woods has over other players of golf is that he is able to use his supple body to extend his swing far more backwards than most golfers on any tournament can. Thus he manages to extend the range of his motion while maintaining his torso aligned straight over his right leg.

2. Since the backswing extends far to the back, the length of the swing before contact with the ball is longer, and hence the club head gathers more momentum as it comes down during the downswing. This Tiger achieves by swiftly turning his torso with his right leg pressed forward towards the swing. The pivot is fast, more velocity to the club head. The swing is a perfect arc. No wasted movement hence no wasted energy. And in addition to the power from his arms and his shoulders, he uses the strength of his upper body to its maximum advantage.

3. Tiger Woods drives the club head dead centre and flat against the ball. No unnecessary twists, turns of the hip, the iron firmly gripped and perfectly balanced. Every bit of his concentration and his strength is focused on the club head with a total use of the force from his hips, his shoulders and his wrists. At the instant of impact the club head is travelling at a speed of more than nearly 125 miles per hour, 25 mph more than the average tour pro. The strike is so powerful that within 2’ of the tee, the ball is travelling at a velocity of 180 mph.

4. The last element of Tiger’s swing is the follow through. A good follow through keep the club head accelerating even after impact, for that momentary instant that the club head is still in contact with the ball, giving more momentum to the ball. Once the ball leaves the clubface there is nothing you can do. It is the culmination of all your body movements. No snapping of the wrists or any improper movements. The finish of the best, the near perfect and the proper golf swing on any course.

And that, gentlemen, is the swing of Tiger Woods. Nothing secret about it; every golfer knows it and has seen it. The problem is that they cannot replicate it. How did Tiger get this swing? He watched other golfers play, learnt from them and most of all, he practiced. Practice! Practice! Practice!

A few are spotlighted below, followed by a complete listing of Callaway Golf tour professionals.

Phil Mickelson

Callaway Golf tour pro Phil Mickelson is currently the No. 2 ranked player in the world, having amassed 34 PGA Tour wins, including three majors. Here’s something you may not know about Phil: golf is the only thing he does left-handed. The pro known as “Lefty” began the game as a left-hander so he could mirror his dad’s right-handed swing during practice.

“I’ve been using this Diablo fairway wood,” Phil said recently about the new Big Bertha Diablo Series. “This is the best fairway wood I’ve ever hit.”

In Phil’s Bag:

  • FT-9 Driver
  • Big Bertha Diablo Fairway Woods
  • Tour Authentic X-Prototype Irons 5-9
  • X-Forged Irons 3-4
  • White Hot XG #9 Putter

Ernie Els

Callaway Golf tour pro Ernie Els competes globally and has won 48 worldwide titles, including three majors. Nicknamed “The Big Easy” for his long, fluid golf swing, the 6’3” Els was a consummate athlete in his youth, excelling in rugby, tennis, cricket and other sports.

Like Phil Mickelson, when it comes to Callaway drivers, The Big Easy swings the FT-9 Driver. Ernie also favors Tour Authentic X-Prototype Irons.

In Ernie’s Bag:

  • FT-9 Driver
  • X Fairway Woods
  • Tour Authentic X-Prototype Irons 3-9
  • Tour Milled 1 Putter

Annika Sorenstam

To say that Callaway Golf tour pro Annika Sorenstam is the greatest female golfer of all time is no stretch. Annika, now retired from tour competition, collected 72 LPGA Tour wins (including 10 majors) in her Hall-of-Fame career. She is also the only woman to fire a 59 in a tour event.

Known for her precision play, Annika has played Callaway irons throughout her career. She currently plays two models: Tour Authentic X-Prototype Irons and X-18 Irons.

In Annika’s Bag:

  • FT-5 Driver
  • X Fairway Woods
  • Tour Authentic X-Prototype Irons 7-9
  • X-18 Irons 4-6
  • White Hot XG 2-Ball Putter

Graeme McDowell

Callaway Golf tour pro Graeme McDowell is an up-and-coming player on the European PGA Tour who has won four times and was a member of the 2008 European Ryder Cup team. The Irishman played collegiate golf at the University of Alabama, where he was ranked No. 1 in the United States and won an amazing six of 12 college tournaments.

In Graeme’s Bag:

  • Fusion FT-3 Driver
  • X Fairway Woods 15
  • X-Forged Irons 3-9

PGA Tour veteran Rocco Mediate is not the longest hitter on the circuit. But one thing is certain: the man who took Tiger Woods to overtime in the epic 2008 U.S. Open is now hitting his drives longer than ever before with the new Callaway Big Bertha Diablo Driver.

Rocco was always straight. The all-titanium Big Bertha Diablo Driver adds significant distance without sacrificing accuracy. And you don’t have to play like a Tour Pro to benefit from the explosive power of the Big Bertha Diablo Series.

The new Callaway Golf series features two distance and accuracy-enhancing technologies. The first – Edge Technology – provides a high Moment of Inertia (MOI) and an optimized center of gravity (CG) location for Draw or Neutral models. In other words, Diablo gives you long, penetrating ball flight, along with your preferred shot shape. Edge Technology also helps you square the clubface at impact, even when you take a ferocious swing at the ball.

Another Diablo innovation – Hyperbolic Face Technology – increases ball speed across the entire face of the club. Translation? More distance, even on mis-hits.  These new advancements in Callaway Diablo clubs compliment the S2H2 design benefits that are synonymous in Callaway Golf technology: Shoot, Straight, Hollow, Hosel.

Rocco’s Big Bertha Diablo Hybrid

Like the driver, the Big Bertha Diablo Hybrid is a distance king. But it also can take an accuracy freak like Rocco Mediate to a whole new level. Not just accurate, but scary accurate.

The Big Bertha Diablo Hybrid is designed with a Dual Runner Sole that enables solid contact from a variety of lies and helps lower the leading edge to make the sweet spot more accessible for golfers of all skill levels. These clubs also leverage Callaway’s VFT Technology to increase ball speed, distance and forgiveness.

Rocco’s 2H model has a loft of 18?, but the Big Bertha Diablo Hybrid comes in a range of models and lofts to suit your preferences.

Phil’s ‘Best’ Fairway Wood: Big Bertha Diablo

“I’ve been using this Diablo fairway wood,” Phil Mickelson says in a Callaway video clip. “This is the best fairway wood I’ve ever hit. It’s easy to get up in the air and it flies straight.”

Whether hitting off a tee or the turf, the Big Bertha Diablo Fairway Woods enhance distance and accuracy for golfers of all skill levels, including, as evidenced above, PGA Tour star Phil Mickelson.  Phil plays the Big Bertha Diablo Fairway Wood 15N. So can you, or you can choose from a range of other models and lofts to suit your preferences.

These Callaway fairway woods feature the same technological innovations of the Big Bertha Diablo Driver, plus they come in Neutral and Draw head shapes to promote your preferred shot shape. They’re sure to take your golf game and confidence in long distance fairway shots to a new level.

LPGA Tour’s Morgan Pressel Depends on Diablo

An intense competitor, LPGA Tour player and major winner Morgan Pressel concedes nothing on the golf course. That competitive demeanor extends to the fairway woods and hybrids Morgan puts in her bag: the Big Bertha Diablo Fairway Woods and Big Bertha Diablo Hybrid.

At 5’5”, Morgan wants to reach for all the power a club can offer. The Big Bertha Diablo Series gives her that and more – pin-seeking accuracy.

Callaway Diablo Golf Balls and Bags

Yes, there’s a ball, too. The Big Bertha Diablo Golf Ball has lower driver spin and softer feel than most golf balls for increased accuracy off the tee and a better feel on every shot.

You can complete the ensemble with a Big Bertha Diablo Stand Bag or Big Bertha Diablo Tour Cart Bag, a limited edition tour pro bag and the same one that caddies carry for Callaway’s Tour Golf Professionals.

All in all, Callaway’s new Diablo series is full of innovative design and enhancements to improve the confidence, play and performance for golfers of all skill levels.
