Golf brands introduction: TaylorMade

When it comes to the world golf brands, we can not to ignore the TaylorMade, but do you really know this brand too much?

In 1998, three of the biggest sports equipment brands merged: TaylorMade, Salomon and Adidas. Adidas produces sports shoes and sports clothing, and has sales that are over six billion dollars a year. It is best known for football. Salomon meanwhile is best known for its contribution to the world of snowboarding and skiing. And TaylorMade is of course, best known for golf clubs, now considered the No.1 most used driver in the world of men's professional golf.

Together, these companies gave birth to Taylor Made golf clubs, of which the r580 woods, the RAC series of irons, and Rossa Putters come to mind.

Early last year, players using TaylorMade drivers recorded a total of 18 victories on the 5 men's tours-statistics which have never been matched to-date by any other brand!

By mid-2004, golf luminaries Sergio Garcia, Retief Goosen, Mike Weir, Hale Irwin, Natalie Gulbis, Kenny Perry, Fred Couples and Se Ri Pak started showing up in competitions with their TaylorMades. TaylorMade also manufactures fairway woods, irons, wedges and putters.

PS: You can have a driver from TaylorMade, fairway woods from Callaway, irons from Mizuno, wedges from Cleveland and a Scotty Cameron putter-but this might affect your consistency in the game.

So, the question come here again, which brands do you want to choose? Nick? Callaway? Ping? Or any brands? Waiting for you comment for your favorite golf brands on our website.

When I recently tested the TaylorMade's new Burner irons, I could not help but feel that these eight irons probably will be the best launch of the company in 2009.

20090319060009924 TaylorMade Golf new Burner 09 Irons

Dramatically improved SuperFast Technology incorporates progressive COR, MOI and shaft length. Advanced Multi-Functional sole design, progressively thicker toplines together with the sophisticated cavity-badge which delivers super-soft feel and sound make it longer and easier to hit.

The Burner Irons including eight weapons are separately designed for their own mission. Long-irons, middle-irons and short-irons were all designed separately . TaylorMade's iron-creation team started with the 4-iron and the goal to make it forgiving and long. That was made possible by:

Thinning the club face as much as possible to make it more flexible and faster for higher COR. A custom 450 stainless steel alloy is used for added strength, allowing 1.9 mm thickness across most of the face.

Incorporating Inverted Cone Technology into the back of the club face to promote increased ball-speed on off-center hits.

Increasing the size of the head by expanding the perimeter, which helps increase the MOI to a higher level than any previous TaylorMade iron.

Increasing the width of the sole (unusual for a long-iron) to pull the CG location low and far-back away from the clubface.

Increasing the degree of offset to make it easier to square the face at impact.

Thickening the top-line to give the appearance of more mass behind the ball at address, to inspire more confidence. Outfitting it with a lightweight, longer-length shaft and lightweight grip.
It is believed this golf club will be the most-played irons on tour.

Golfers who execute some great golf swings did not inherit the skill but developed it through hard work. So just copying them will not make you swing like them. You should also work hard to get the proper golf swing.

The more you strive to imitate the great golfers, the more likely that you will make mistakes. The morale behind this is that you have to be a self made golfer and not a copycat.

But, you may ask; how am I supposed to learn a game without following the leader? Practice is the answer to your question. If you are a novice to the sport, learn the golf swing basics by getting professional help. If this is not sufficient, get an instructional DVD and watch the golf swing instructions.

Your time and your effort are required to get the proper golf swing that you see and what you want. Of course, you have a job or a business to look after and can’t spend time on the game as much as Tiger Woods does. But for Tiger Woods, golf is his business.

This does not mean that you should chuck your job and try your hand at professional golf. With the limited practice time at your disposal, you should make the most out of it.

You see lots of people practising at the golf courses. They hit tens and hundreds of balls but nothing significant occurs. Why? Because in a real time game, what matters at the end is how you putt the ball into the hole. What this signifies is that you should spend as much time, if not longer, at honing your short game as you do on your long one.

To do this, there are various drills to help you in practising chipping and pitching. Since there is always the possibility of the ball landing in a bunker, you have to practice getting out from a bunker as well. A survey shows that most golfers get to make their shots from a distance of 75 yards or less away from the hole. As such this aspect also requires practice. Golf doesn’t come easy.

Brush up on your wedge play to help set up an east-birdie. Strike as many balls as you can from a distance of 40 to 135 yards. Use a club that is shorter than the one you use for long shots. The principle is the same.

There are a number of techniques to help you to develop your short game. Some of them are, to try striking the ball with one hand, hitting it with your eyes closed and setting up a chalk line to see if you are striking to move it in a straight line.

There are also other training aids like golf gloves to make sure that you are adopting the proper method to hold the golf club because this is crucial to the direction of travel of the ball when you hit it.

All said and done, it is the attitude, the professional one that is required and it the one commodity that you cannot purchase at any sporting store. Another significant factor is confidence. If you doubt whether the ball will get into the hole, chances are it will not. Practice, think positive and pray for the best. That’s all you can do when you putt.

Winning in golf depends on the proper golf swing that will take the ball as near to the hole as possible. Finally, it is your capability to putt that really counts. So concentrate on your short game also just as you should concentrate on the other aspects of the game.
