By the way, I want to tell you a club. Mizuno has long been a competitor in the average golfer market with their JPX line. They have just announced the release of their new JPX AD line for 2010 which will be released right before the Golf Fair here in Japan. The last two generations of JPX clubs, including the A25 series and E600 series have seen a less than enthusiastic reaction from consumers in my opinion. Because of this, Mizuno has overahauled the look of their JPX line and gone with a new approach. This approach is that a longer club will equal more distance.
The new JPX AD line will step back to the old JPX E310 series colors and feature a gold and black theme. The E310 series was a very solid line and if the JPX AD can perform up to its standards we have something exciting to look foward to.
The Mizuno JPX AD Irons has always been a forged automatic model for the average golfer and the new JPX Forged are no different as they seem to sport an even thicker topline that previous models. Mizuno however has continued not to use a pocket cavity for the forged model to maintain the soft feel.
The First Tee provides young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop, through golf and character education, life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. The First Tee proactively teaches these lessons for life as part of the basic instruction program.
In a word, this irons is really your good choice. At least, it is fit for my game.
Question by southfla34: Anyone else having issues with Proactive turning their stuff colors?
My Wife and I both use Proactive as our facial cleanser. We have been noticing our towels have been turning colors on us and didn't know what it was that was causing this. We have come to the conclusion that it is the Proactive. This is also happening to the collar of my golf shirts as well as some of my dress shirts. Has anyone else had an issue? I wonder if there's been a complaint filed against the company?

Answer by kelly e It's totally that. My kids have ruined our Turkish towels -

At this time of the year, a lot of golfers begin to knock the rust off their clubs and start getting ready for a season full of fun and sometimes disappointment. We start to dig into our bag and look and what we could possible replace this year whether it is a new wedge, hybrid, or even a new set of irons.
We golfers have a tendnency to want the newest products that manufacturers have to offer with the hopes of improving our game and making golf easier. And the manufacturers want us to buy the newest products because they believe their clubs are better than their competition. They run these impressive commercials identifying how their new clubs are designed to perform.
Typically using a Tour player that could make a broom stick look like and new driver. They buy advertising spots in golf magazines and show their clubs with fancy graphics and pictures, all with the hopes that we will flock to golf store wanting to hit them and ultimately purchase them. As someone who has been in the golf business for many years, I do believe that with the advancement of technology, the game of golf can become easier and a lot more fun to play.
Take for instance the fact now that most golfers, including TOUR professionals have at least on hybrid club in their bag instead of a long iron. And the reason for this is simply because hybrids clubs are a lot easier to hit than a long iron. They typically have a wider sole, shorter shafts, and more mass in the bottom of the club than any long iron today.
So for these reason they fly higher, come down softer, and are longer than the long iron that they are designed to replace. But I also believe that every golf buyer needs to know what they are buying and how that club is designed to perform with respect to their skill level. Let's take a look at the PING G15 vs. i15 irons. Both sets are new models for this year and just recently came out on the market last fall. But they are designed for different skill level golfers.
The G15 is typically designed for the golfer who needs help getting the ball airborne, may hit a lot of fat shots, and/or has trouble slicing the ball. This club is designed to adress some of the problems by having a wider sole which adds mass to the bottom of the club. This typically lowers the CG of the iron and helps to shoot the ball in the air. The blade of the iron is oversized so that the sweet spot is larger, it has generous offset and because of the custom tuning port in the cavity of the club, the MOI is higher helping to prevent the head from twisting and turning with off center shots ---- thus a straighter ball flight.
More than likely this particular club is designed for a golfer whose handicap is 18 or above. The i15 is a completely different golf club. It is somewhat the reverse of the G15 in the sense that the blade is much smaller from toe to heel, the offset is less, and the cavity is not as deep as the G15.
Consequently, it is designed for a golfer who wants the opportunity to work the ball both directions, does not need help getting it airborne because he is able to do not now with proper swing mechanics, and likes the cleaner look from the top of the club with respect to a smaller top line and not seeing the rear flange of the sole of the club.
Typically, this club is designed for a golf with a handicap of 10-12 and below. Usually this skill level of a golf is able to get the ball around the course without getting in too much trouble and wants the freedom to try different shot. The i15 will allow him to do that instead of the G15. While the G15 is an awesome iron, and for us is one of our best selling clubs, it will limit what a golfer can do with the ball with respect to moving it both directions or trying to hit a knock down shot.
Don't let this discourage you in any way from hitting demo iron of these clubs. That is the only way to properly identify which club will perform the best for you and be able to give you a true feel for the two clubs. So with all of that said, now go to your golf bag and take a look at your equipment and see what you might need to make this season more enjoyable.
Go to your nearest golf shop and talk to them about what will best fit your swing and skill level and then hit their demo clubs. After all that is why they have them. Be proactive and ask questions about how a particular club will improve your game. And then buy it, play it, enjoy it, and have fun.

A few weeks back on my blog, http://blog.golfdiehard.com I discussed the recent passing of Benji Hogan, famed companion of Dennis Walters. Dennis is a disabled golfer who continues to play the game he loves despite losing his ability to walk many years ago. Dennis found new ways to play and has inspired countless people to do what many believed was improbable, play golf. I view golf as a game which enables anyone to challenge themselves each time they tee up.
The recent GolfWorld article, "Recovery Shots" by Leonard Shapiro, discusses how wounded veterans are playing the game with the use of prosthetics, mental strength and sheer determination. I cannot underscore how much I enjoyed reading the stories of our heroes from war, who have found a renewed zest for living and some peace in golf.
In golf, we use the term "handicap" to tell someone our playing ability. The word "disabled" has replaced the word "handicapped" when we are referring to someone with an impairment, relative to the standard. The irony is golf has become a game in which virtually anyone can play regardless of their disability. The game actually enables people to compete or play without limits. A birdie is always a birdie no matter who gets one.
The USGA, PGA and LPGA have been very proactive in providing funds to support programs which encourage disabled persons to play golf or continue to improve their abilities.
The next time you tee it up and having a frustrating day on the links, remember some fellow golfers are truly thankful they are out there with you. Be thankful as well!
It's not about me but about the game of golf. Always has been, always will be. http://blog.golfdiehard.com
